Ronald Jaimeer Humarang

Who would expect that on a fine Thursday morning, December 15, 1994, the next child singer and superstar was brought to life? This child was baptized with the name Ronald Jaimeer by his parents Jaime Humarang and Jean Coro. Ronald was God’s first gift to his parents, being a loving kuya to his younger sibling Lovely Jane.

RJ, as Ronald's family and relatives usually call him, was born and was raised at Brgy. Balangon, Agoncillo, Batangas, and there he dreamt of becoming a doctor someday for him to be able to reach out to his fellow Batangueños. He believes in the power and magic of education to reach his lifelong dream. In fact, he is a consistent honor student in his elementary school life and graduated sixth-grade as part of the top students.

When did he start recognizing his talent to sing? At the age of 5, during his Kindergarten years, RJ's parents discovered that RJ can sing when he was invited to render “Ako’y Isang Pinoy” during their school celebration of Linggo ng Wika. This was RJ’s stepping stone to his singing career.

Just a quick piece of trivia: Did you know that the first song that RJ memorized (aside from Ako’y Isang Pinoy) was Minahal Kita and Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin! Cool! Being a kid, he enjoys drawing, playing basketball, badminton and chess! He is also fond of fried chicken, bangus, spaghetti and hotdog! Hmmm… Yum! He admires the colors of red, blue, white and black.

At the age of 10, during his Grade 4 years, he joined Amateur Singing Contest Bulilit at Agoncillo, Batangas in celebration of its Founding Anniversary. This was the first official singing contest that he joined, with his contest pieces To Love You More and One Moment In Time, placing him as Champion of the said competition!

This sparks Ronald’s dream of becoming a concert artist at Araneta! He auditioned for Little Big Star at SM Dasmariñas and he succeeded! He became a major part of the Big Division of Little Big Star Season I, along with the likes of Sam Concepcion and Charice Pempengco. We noticed RJ’s talent and singing power as he formed part of the said contest’s Final 6 through the Wildcard round and known as The Pop Idol. He has also been part of the Little Big Star’s album with his own rendition of Iisa Lang Tayo. Sadly, he did not make it to the top this time…

But this does not stop Ronald from dreaming. He auditioned for Little Big Superstar, and this time, equipped with the inspiration from his singing idols Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, Erik Santos and Ms. Sarah Geronimo, armed with all the charm, the wit and the talent of a champion. And now, Mr. Heartsong, Ronald Jaimeer is part of the Super Three! We can say that he has become more mature and more prepared in this season, with his soulful renditions of ballad songs, powerful interpretations of jukebox songs and groovy versions of band songs!

Now, the million dollar question is: Will he make it to the top this time? Will he be the next Little Big Superstar?

That question has been answered! Our pop idol, our Mr. Heartsong made it to the top spot as he had been named as the first-ever Little Big Superstar! Who would know that on May 12, 2007, his lifelong dream became a reality! And that his dream to perform at Araneta Coliseum came true last May 29!

And now, Ronald is ready to face a new chapter of his life as a full-fledged singer and a budding young actor. Watch out for his MMK stint which is about to be shown some days from now.
